WASCON 2012 took place at Chalmers Conference Centre, situated by the main entrance of Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, on the west coast of Sweden.

Gothenburg is the second biggest city of Sweden and has functioned as Sweden’s international gateway over many years.

Trade, shipping and international contacts have distinguished Gothenburg ever since the city was founded in 1621. Today, a constant stream of trade fair exhibitors, conference delegates, rock artistes and sports stars visit the city.

Gothenburg is not a large metropolis by international standards, but the range of shopping and entertainment makes it feel like a big city even though nearly everything is in easy walking distance. We recommend you to spend a few extra days in this friendly city.
