Organization

SGI is headed by Director General Åsa-Britt Karlsson. The institute is organized into five departments:

• Geotechnical Design and Landslide Safety
• Land Use Planning and Climate Adaptation
• Environmental Engineering
• Geomaterials and Modelling
• Administration / IT

There is also an Expert Panel on Natural Hazards, through which we provide support and expert advice in issues on landslide and erosion.

Our research and development are prepared in a R & D Secretariat.

Headoffice is in Linköping and we have regional offices in Malmö, Gothenburg and Stockholm. We are a total of 85 employees.
